Our Services
From initial guidance through to installation and care, Frame and Foliage offers a considered, supportive approach to bringing imagery into outdoor spaces. Each artwork is produced to order using a substrate designed for outdoor environments, with clear guidance provided to help ensure it can be enjoyed with confidence over time.
-
Frame and Foliage artworks are designed for outdoor environments using aluminium dibond due to its durability and resistance to weathering. All artworks feature a wrapped finish around the edges and a satin gallery finish. With appropriate care, your artwork can typically last between three and five years.

Consider Your Space
Artworks can be produced up to a maximum size of 170cm × 120cm (rectangular) or 150cm × 150cm (square). Final sizing is based on both the artwork selected and the space where it will be installed, helping to ensure the artwork works well within its intended setting
If you would like any support selecting an artwork, size or placement, please get in touch via the contact form and we can arrange a call to discuss your space. Following our conversation, I’ll provide a personalised quotation based on your chosen artwork and preferred size.
You can view examples of artworks installed in outdoor settings on our Art in Situ page, alongside examples of how the artworks might be encountered within outdoor spaces on Moments in Motion.

Frame and Foliage artworks can be installed on walls or fences using stand-off fixings that are supplied with your artwork. Alternatively, artworks may be fitted using a fixing method of your choice, provided it is suitable for outdoor conditions and a dibond aluminium substrate.
Fixing points are pre-drilled in your artwork, with holes positioned approximately 2.7cm in from the edge of the artwork (to the centre of the drilled hole) and spaced evenly around the perimeter. The number of fixing points will depend on the size of your artwork and typically ranges from four (one at each corner) to eight or more for larger artworks. Artworks can also be supplied without pre-drilled holes on request.
The standoffs that you will receive to install your garden artwork will include a barrel and solid screw thread, 2 non-slip rubber washers, screws and plugs (if needed).
Once installed, your artwork will sit approx 2.5cm from the wall/fence you are attaching it to.
-
Position your artwork where you would like to install it and make a small mark on your wall/fence to represent each of the installation holes on your artwork. Use a spirit level if needed to ensure your artwork will be level once installed.
Drill a hole using your mark as a guide and install the plugs (if required).
Take the small screw provided with your standoff and place it into the standoff barrel so that the head of the screw sits in the base of the barrel and the remainder of the screw comes out through the hole at the end of the barrel.
Using a screwdriver, attach the barrel to your wall/fence using your pre-drilled holes and/or your marks as a guide. Repeat for all four of the standoff barrels.
Place one of the small rubber washers onto the solid screw thread so that once it is inserted into the barrel, the washer will sit between the front of the artwork and the top of the solid screw head. Place each solid screw head and its into each of your artworks’s fixing holes.
Before inserting the solid screw heads into the installed barrels on your wall/fence - place the other washer on the tail of the screw head so that it will sit between the back of the artwork and the top of the installed barrel. Now you're ready to screw each of the solid screw heads into each of your installed barrels to install your artwork.
A short installation guide will be provided when you purchase your artwork.

Frame and Foliage artworks are designed for outdoor viewing and require minimal maintenance once installed. To keep the surface in good condition, we recommend gentle cleaning using plain water and avoiding abrasive cleaners, solvents or textured cloths that could scratch the surface or rub in dirt or grit. If needed, light surface dusting can be carried out once the artwork has dried, using a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
As colder weather approaches, artworks can remain outdoors; however, environmental conditions such as prolonged frost, snow, or freezing temperatures can place additional stress on materials over time. For longer-term care and to help extend the lifespan of your artwork, we recommend removing artworks during winter periods. Over winter, artworks can be cleaned, packed, and stored indoors, ready to be reinstalled outdoors as conditions improve in spring.
In coastal or high-salinity environments, increased exposure to salt and moisture may affect outdoor materials over time. In these settings, more regular cleaning and seasonal removal is recommended to help maintain the artwork’s condition.
If you have any questions about the artworks or would like guidance, please feel free to get in touch.
